Why Choose Us

Crunk Physical Therapy, PC is a physical therapist owned practice providing the most advanced hands-on care in the Upstate.  Our goal is to identify and treat the source of your pain, rather than just focus on improving your symptoms.  The process begins with a one-on-one comprehensive bio-mechanical evaluation performed by Dr. Timothy Crunk to identify the areas of dysfunction, weakness and imbalance followed by a unique treatment protocol suited to your particular dysfunction.  Each treatment session is with Dr. Crunk only and consists primarily of hands-on Functional Manual Therapy™  featuring techniques such as Muscle Energy Technique, Manipulation (high-velocity, low amplitude thrust technique), Functional Mobilization, Soft Tissue and Joint Mobilization, Neuromuscular Re-eduction, Back Education Training and Functional Dry Needling.

Dr. Crunk has 30 years of training and experience treating a variety of orthopaedic dysfunctions including spine and extremities in addition to teaching manual therapy courses to other physical therapists across the country. His client base includes athletes ranging from the elite pro level to the weekend warrior as well as those of a general orthopaedic nature. I first saw Dr. Crunk after I had pulled a muscle in my back doing plyometric hurdle drills.  I was preparing to run the 1500 meters at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships held in Eugene, OR that was less than two weeks away.  When I showed up (for therapy) I could hardly walk, was forced to hunch while painfully standing, and my spine was curved in an unnatural position.  Dr. Crunk spent over an hour with me, analyzing not just my back, but the root of the problem before conducting a comprehensive treatment session involving dry needling the injured section of my back.  Within 24 hours of the appointment I went from being unable to walk to running 6 miles with hardly a blip in my training for the impending championships.  I returned for two more sessions, both of which Dr. Crunk worked with extreme care to improve the condition of my back, as well as to prevent any future setbacks.  As a sub-4-minute miler and qualifier of the 2016 Olympic Trials, I would recommend Dr. Crunk to anyone from hobby jogger to elite athletes.  His knowledge of human anatomy paired with his wide range of techniques in dealing with client's and general care for his patients is unmatched in the Greenville area and I can more than vouch for his treatment.
