Matt graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. degree in Financial Management. Once he finished at Clemson, he then went to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston where he earned a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) with honors. After graduation, Matt moved to New York where he worked for the well-renown Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains. There, he treated patients with various neurologic, orthopaedic, and degenerative conditions in the outpatient department. Now, Matt is an orthopaedic manual therapy reisdent for the the Institute of Physical Art (IPA) where he will complete his extensive training with Tim Crunk, PT, MS, OCS, CFMT, FAAOMPT, at Crunk Physical Therapy, PC. Once finished with his residency, he will sit for the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties’ Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedics (OCS) exam and be part of an elite group of manual physical therapists throughout the United States that hold the distinction of Certified Functional Manual Therapist (CFMT). As a physical therapist, Matt has completed many continuing education courses, including Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF), Back Education and Training (BET), Functional Orthopedics I(FO I), Functional Orthopedics II (FO II), and Lumbo-Pelvic Integration (LPI) through the IPA and Integrative Manual Therapy Solutions (IMTS). Matt now lives in Greenville, SC with his finacee Rachael.
